After last summers fire, I prioritized irrigation this summer. Every strong breeze that came from the river kept my kids jumpy. The sandstorms look like plumes of smoke to them, or are a constant reminder of the fire. Either way, the only thing I could see that would help was making the land around the house green.
I took some time to make art for me. I love exhibiting but some things are better kept to me and my family anyway. The summer is always spent helping my kids through their 4H projects. It is fall now, and I have been making Edvard Munch inspired canvas, and canvas concepts inspired by Pat Hurleys tapestries. I have been building a mold and deckle so I can follow in Rick Bartows footsteps and make my own paper. I have already started my next Squash Blossom. I feel that big things are coming and now coming into the Fall and Winter I can redirect back towards art and jewelry.
I apologize for some of those pictures. It is much after the fact that. I am uploading them now in the fall and see mistakes. I would take new ones with less reflections of me or my parents kitchen in the silver, or little fuzzy hairs. I hadn’t seen them in the pictures when they were smaller on my phone and no longer have access to retake the pictures.
